We at Innovaccer are looking for Data Analysts that will help us certifying and validate the
different measures used in the U.S Healthcare, be it Quality, Utilization or Financial. You
will be a part of the expanding Healthcare Innovations team, with plenty of opportunities to
interact with project stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Your primary focus will be
to define the measure definition, so shat they can easily be executed on the Customer's data
and give the relevant performance score. You will be required to analyze the US healthcare
measures and Value Based Care Models to identify trends, scenarios, outcomes and value
drivers. This is a fast-paced, collaborative and iterative environment requiring quick learning,
agility and flexibility.
Analyze and understand the data sources for the respective data sets (Rx Claims, Lab,
Medical Claims, CDA, EMR, etc.).
Analyze and understand the characteristics of the data and information.
Analyze and document data profiling for each population and define the parameters
for various profiling methods.
Understand different healthcare quality guidelines such as HEDIS, P4P, MIPS,
MACRA, Star Rating and different measures or measure groups.
Understand aspects of quality measures, such as denominators, numerators,
exceptions and exclusions.
Analyze and document test scenarios and test cases to validate the representation of
data to assure accuracy of the data being brought from various sources.
Work independently and with the other Measure Certification Team members.
Develop creative ideas for improving the process of defining the Measure
Certification and Validation Processes.
Stay up-to-date on new measures, product features, improvements and versions of
measures. Provide quick turn-around on Measure defining process.
Exercise the highest degree of professionalism and confidentiality when analysing
protected health information (PHI).
Explores, examines and interprets large volumes of data in various forms.
Documents projects including business objectives, data gathering, and processing,
detailed set of results and analytical metrics.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Laboratory Medicine, Healthcare
Information Technology, or other healthcare profession.
In lieu of degree, equivalent combination of education and experience in Healthcare
IT for 3+ years.
Experience with project and/or product management life cycles.
Excellent use of Microsoft Excel (analysis of data), Microsoft Word, Microsoft
Access and SQL.
Excellent evaluative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Accountable as an individual contributor.
Ability to understand complex requirements and derive solutions.
Ability to learn quickly and desire to take on new challenges.
Ability to compare and contrast data between system builds/code updates.
Experience with analyzing and data modelling of medical claims, membership data,
lab results or pharmacy data
Experience in handling clinical terminologies used in patient clinical records,
including lab and radiology, Pharmacy, immunization, surgeries, treatment plans, case
notes, allergies, etc.
Familiarity with EMR integration to import and export clinical data from other EMRs
or health system data sources.
Good understanding of clinical taxonomies such as ICD, CPT, LOINC, NDC,
Knowledge of current healthcare data transmission types (X12, HL7, CCDA) and
various file types (txt, xml, csv).
Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
