According to the World Health Organization (WHO), Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) is one of the top 3 threats to global health. Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) have mandated that all health facilities establish an antimicrobial stewardship program (ASP) to reduce inappropriate use of antimicrobials.

In discussion with ASP experts, we will explore if opportunities exist for a digital solution to strengthen Antimicrobial Stewardship and strategies for implementation. We will investigate how a digital clinical decision support tool can increase the effectiveness and efficiency of antibiotic stewardship improving quality of care and reducing healthcare costs.
