SAN FRANCISCO, CA–April 10— Innovaccer Inc., a leading healthcare AI company, today launched its latest research report, AI Trends in Healthcare: 2025 and Beyond, highlighting key emerging trends shaping the future of healthcare. The report, based on a survey of 105 professionals across 73 US healthcare organizations, consolidates insights from industry leaders, shedding light on the growing demand and role of AI in transforming clinical workflows, enhancing patient care, and driving operational efficiency. The analysis provides an in-depth view at the key operational shifts and strategic technology investments essential for the long-term sustainability of healthcare systems.

The survey captures direct insights from the leaders and professionals shaping the healthcare landscape, incorporating their perspectives on AI adoption and its impact on the industry's future.

The Increasing Need for AI Adoption in Healthcare

The survey assesses healthcare professionals' perceptions of AI, with most viewing it as an assistant rather than a replacement. Key findings include:

  • 81.63% of physicians and 78.79% of administrators are eager to adopt AI tools, driven by rising workforce shortages, burnout and growing administrative inefficiencies. They recognize AI’s potential to automate time-consuming tasks, improving efficiency and productivity.
  • 64.76% of surveyed professionals see AI as a vital tool for reducing workload, emphasizing its value across all levels, including CXOs, clinicians, nurses, administrative staff, and strategists. The findings highlight strong confidence in AI’s ability to streamline operations and automate manual tasks.
  • 37.1% of respondents see AI as key to decision-making, enhancing precision medicine, diagnostics, and treatment planning by enabling real-time, data-driven insights.

Action Areas for Healthcare Leaders in 2025

The report highlights that healthcare leaders are expected to prioritize AI as a collaborative tool, driving adoption across all levels. This includes investing in AI technologies, implementing robust security measures, and bringing in experts to ensure ethical integration within healthcare systems. Key areas poised for AI impact include administrative tasks (52.38%), electronic health record management (47.61%), and diagnostic accuracy (41.90%), underscoring the need for strategic leadership and intervention.

As healthcare organizations allocate millions toward technology budgets for 2025-2026, the report also provides critical insights into AI investment trends, offering a benchmark for industry priorities and strategic planning.

"2025 began with a strong push for AI in healthcare, with a clear call for leaders to drive adoption," said Abhinav Shashank, CEO and Co-founder of Innovaccer. "This report provides clarity on the next steps, highlighting the alignment between emerging AI trends and the immediate actions needed to stay ahead.
