Nearly 1 in 5 healthcare workers have quit their jobs during the pandemic, with 50% citing burnout as the reason, according to research from Morning Consult.

In his new article in the Governance Institute’s E-Briefings newsletter, Go Beyond EHRs to Address Labor Shortages and Reduce Clinician Burnout, Brian Silverstein, M.D., Chief Population Health Officer at Innovaccer, suggests that if the healthcare industry radically improves the EHR process, it can help prevent burnout and reduce labor shortages at the same time.
